Verbs in the past tense ending in -ed are often misspelled because the final sound can be heard as -id, -d or -t. Use this brilliant set of Chute Cards to secure understanding that a verb in the past tense always ends in -ed when written. Read the cards out loud to work out the sound, before posting the card into the self-correcting Smart Chute (sold separately) to reveal the answer.
