Snapdragons offers a rich mix of different types of stories, from science fiction to fairy tales; fables to stories from around the world, there is something for everyone and it is all leveled to fit in with Oxford Reading Tree’s structure.
“Locked Out” – Gran forgets her keys but Susie and the dog find a way to solve the problem.
“The Little Dragon” – At dragon school the Big Dragons tease Little Dragon because he can’t roar loudly, or breathe fire – but he is the first to learn to fly.
“Alf Saves the Day” – Alf is crazy about football but he seems to be no good at playing – until he gets the chance to make a great save and proves he is a brilliant goalie.
“The School Trip” – Noisy Aneesa causes trouble when the children visit a farm. But she comes to the rescue when the geese attack.
“The Chatterbox Turtle” – Turtle gets the chance to fly, but his habit of chattering is his downfall. “The Sandwich that Jack Made” – Jack makes an enormous sandwich out of all the tasty thing he can find, but then the sight of it makes him feel sick.
