PM Gems are written especially for emergent and early readers and include the favourite PM characters such as Sally, Max, Kitty Cat, Little Chimp and the Bear Family. At Magenta Level 2 and Levels 2/3 children should be able to recognise 25-30 high frequency words and be confident with simple sentence structures. Children will master a growing number of high frequency words and identify meaning from a close match of words and pictures.
