Our recently redeveloped microwave kit brings exploration of real waves into the lab. With a 3cm wavelength, real electromagnetic wave phenomena can be observed with instruments and measured by hand.
The battery operated microwave probe receiver is used to measure field strength at points in space, which is useful for standing waves and interference patterns. An internal variable gain amplifier and analogue meter indicates field strength, and a BNC socket allows connection to an oscilloscope or meter for more detailed observation and analysis. It replaces the old Unilab probe receiver 045.673.
