Lots of Socks

Expanding on the knowledge learnt in Lots of Wheels, link counting in 2s, 5s and 10s with multiplication by ‘hanging’ groups of colour-coded socks on to the 100s board to find answers to easy-to-read word problems. The hole in the last sock will reveal the correct answer. Understand patterns in the number system as other numbers are covered by lots of socks to focus on 2s, 5s and 10s multiplication facts. The socks can also be used to build arrays, so key links are made between counting in steps and multiplication. Consistent Number Smart place value colour-coding is used throughout.
