Groundhog Day Craft

Is it winter or is it spring? Let the groundhog decide! If the groundhog sees his shadow, that means 6 more weeks of winter. If he doesn’t see his shadow, spring will arrive early! Unfold the sky-colored scenes and fold out the pop-up tab. Place the groundhog on the bottom half of the scene and trace the outline. Remove the groundhog and color in the outline to make the groundhog’s “shadow” for a winter scene, or leave the bottom half blank for a spring scene! Paste the groundhog onto the pop-up tab and decorate the scene with the provided tissue flowers, paper clouds and snowflakes. Learn about seasonal changes and explore the history of Groundhog Day!
