Brain Benders Set (Book A & Book B) by Helen Grimmett
This lively two book series has been designed to enhance thinking and vocabulary skills in children aged 10-12.
Book A: Think Sheets – contains five kinds of thinking problems on each sheet – word study, research, philosophical, make and create, and creative thinking. Students can work as individuals or pairs on these.
Book B: Word Sheets – is divided into two sections – word play and word puzzles. Both sections focus on extending students’ vocabulary and arousing an interest in the formation and use of words. These sheets are ideal for language and enrichment.
About the Author
Helen Grimmett has spent 10 years as a classroom teacher. Her teaching experience has taken place in a wide variety of state and independent schools, both rural and urban. She is currently working as an educational writer and editor in New Zealand.
